Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., will release the world's first PC embedded with a 32-Gigabyte (GB) NAND flash-based solid state disk (SSD). The Samsung Q30, a 12.1-inch screen notebook PC, will be available in the Korean market from early June. $3,700 US Image engadget
The SSD-enabled PC is designed for optimal portability and resolve many of the traditional challenges of mobile computers. Features include the 1.2GHz Celeron M Q30 platform, 32GB of NAND reads 300 percent faster (53MB/s) and write 150 percent quicker (28MB/s) than normal hard drives while offering better protection against shock, 25-50% faster boots and sleep recovery times, longer battery life and reduced weight.
