iRiver U10 review

"The iRiver U10's design is very modern and sleek, with an all white body topped off with a black faceplate surrounding a 320x240 QVGA color screen. Unlike other MP3 players, no room on the face was reserved for navigation controls, making the sole point of interest the screen itself. Instead, navigation is accomplished by grasping the bordered edges of the screen and literally clicking it in one of four directions, as if it were a directional pad on a video game console. iriver calls this the D-Click system, and it's very smart."

Toshiba P5L, P10L

Toshiba, Japan today announced the P-range to their Gigabeat Line. The P5L offers 512MB of storage and the P10L offers 1GB. The Shuffle like player measure 31.9x82.0x13.2mm and weighs 50 g. Features include a 1.1" OLED screen (support picture display) and MP3 and WMA play back support.

Sharp's rugged MP3 players (MP-S200 (512MB) , MP-S300 (1GB))

Sharp, Japan today introduced a new line of MP3 players that feature a rugged design.

The Sharp MP-S200 (512MB) and MP-S300 (1GB) feature an aluminum metal case with a honeycomb structure. The players can be dropped from a height of 140cm without damage reports i4u

Other features include FM Tuner, FM Transmitter, direct encoding, MP3 and WMA DRM support and USB 2.0. The new Sharp MP3 players will go on sale on November 26th in Japan.

King Kong Gigabeat MP3 player

Toshiba, Japan has announced a King Kong edition of the Gigabeat MP3 player for the Japan market

The player features a 20 GB capacity with a 1.8' hard drive, supports WMA (Windows Media Audio Files) and MP3 files and a 2.4' QVGA screen with a resolution of 240X320.

The special edition features a King Kong engraving on the back, a King Kong themed Cardboard Box and comes preinstalled with five King Kong wallpapers.

Tokujin Yoshioka's Media Skin

KDDI is showing off the Tokujin Yoshioka designed Media Skin from their au design project. The promos for the media skin, show a steamy gadget dipped in orange paint -- how hot would that be, to just be able to dip your gadget to create a skin, which you could do daily to match your outfit ... anyway The Tokujin Yoshioka Media Skin is just sleek case.
