Sharp Corporation, Japan has announced the "Auvi MD-DP700," a new portable MD player "Auvi MD-DP700" with Auvi technology. Features of the 1-Bit portable Sharp Auvi MD-DP700 include stereo speakers in the docking station and plays only ATRAC3/ATRAC music formats
The "Auvi MD-DP700," will be released on June 17th. Expected price 19,000 Yen. Available in white, blue, and pink.

Samsung, Korea, has officially announced the YP-T8 MP3 player. The YP-T8 is the successor to the YP-T7 digital audio player announced in March. Features include a 1.8-inch TFT LCD, FM radio, voice recorder, photo viewer, text viewer, game functionality, plays back MP3, WMA, Ogg, and Audio ASF, USB host functionality and MPEG4 video support. 20 hours Battery life , and its 43.5 x 83 x 15.5mm frame weighs in at 55g. Internal memory sizes will be available in 256MB, 512MB, 1G and 2G versions.

TDK, Japan has announced the SP-XA60 , a new portable 2.1 audio system. The SP-XA60 flat speakers (NXT SurfaceSound technology) offer a music output over 360 degrees. This set will be sold for less than 90 EUR in Japan from mid-July onwards reports akihabaranews.

Creative has finally announced the Zen Neeon MP3 Player. The Zen Neeon is touted to empower fashionable MP3 users to carry an ostensibly different player everyday through the application of Creative Stik-On skins, reflecting their different personalities, styles and moods. Toshiba, Japan has announced updated models of the Gigabeat F10, F20 and F40 MP3 Players line. New models called F11, F21 and F41 are set for release end of May and beginning June in Japan. The new players feature new hard-drives with perpendicular recording making the players lighter and smaller reports i4u. The Toshiba Gigabeat F41 is 10g lighter and 3mm slimmer than the Gigabeat F40. Toshiba also added photo viewing feature and a PC software called ROOM to manage photos to the new gigabeat players. The F11 model comes in three colors, the F21 in two and the F40 just in one color.
