BrightonNet Corporation, Japan, will release two bags on May 9th for the iPod with internal speakers. They are the shoulder-bag style "iPod shoulder Bag (BI-BGP1A)" and handbag style "iPod Bag (BI-BGP2N)." Each cost 12,800 yen.

Real Networks introduced a version of its Rhapsody music service that allows nonsubscribers to listen to 25 songs free each month. The company will offer the 25 free songs every month to anyone who downloads its latest Rhapsody software, users are welcome to listen to one song 25 times or any 25 songs from its million-song library once, or any combination, must be connected to the Internet while listening.

Toshiba has announced its Gigabeat line will soon be available to most retailers online and North American stores. The company's seven players feature a 1.8-inch harddrive, a 2.2-inch QVGA color display, MP3, WAV, and WMA/PlaysForSure support with 16 hours playback.
The 10GB models will come in Black, Aqua Blue and Silver Acrylic, while the 20GB will come in Black or Silver Aluminum, the 40GB in Champagne Aluminum and the 60GB in Dark Gray Aluminum. Prices will start at $279, $329, $399 and $449 respectively.
