Pico Card

Green House Corporation JP has announced the "Pico Card" a business-card sized USB 2.0 flash memory device. Pico Card devices will go on sale in early February. Estimated retail price - 128MB model - 2,880 yen, 256MB model - 4,480 yen, and 512MB model - 7,580 yen. Features include support for Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, and XP, as well as Mac OS 9.0 ~ 9.2.2, and Mac OS X 10.1 ~ 10.3., small form, available in both black and silver body colorings. Measures 85.4 x 53.8 x 4.2mm and weighs 20g.

Western Digital 6GB micro-drive

Western Digital has announced plans to release a new 6GB 1-inch micro-drive that would be suited for gadgets such as MP3 players, PDAs, digital still cameras and digital video cameras. WD's miniature drive entry is expected to ship in the second calendar quarter of 2005. The 1-inch hard drive will spin at 3,600 RPM and will be available in capacities up to 6 GB. This new hard drive will be offered with the standard CF II interface and form factor, which enables it to fit into the millions of currently available devices accepting CF II cards, as well as easily integrate into future products

Buffalo HD-HBGLU2 series

Buffalo JP has announced HD-HB160GLU2 and HD-HB250GLU2 their new Gigabit Ethernet/USB 2.0 external HDDs featuring NDAS technology. Both models will be available in late January. The 160GB "HD-HB160GLU2" will cost 29,925 Yen and the 250GB "HD-HB250GLU2" - 35,490 Yen. Models with Windows 2000/XP via network connection and Windows 98/Me/2000/XP via USB 2.0 connection

Both models feature a transfer rate of 50MB/sec and 7,200rpm. Measures 52.9x164x173mm and weighs 1.45 kg.

Corsair 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

Corsair has announced the CMFUSB2.0-2GB their new 2GB USB 2.0 flash drive to their Voyager series today. The CMFUSB2.0-2GB is housed in a shock-resistant, water-resistant, soft rubber casing and is capable of speeds up to 19mb/s.

Corsair is currently shipping their drives to resellers worldwide and should be available within days. Around $189 US.

Sanwa Supply USB 10-key/mouse

Sanwa Supply has announced "NT-M1" a USB connecting 10-Key Mouse in Japan. Retail price is 6,298 yen. The main focus of the NT-M1 is the 10-key. The product features a switch on the left side of the unit's body, enabling only particular functions to be turned on; just the mouse, just the 10-key, or both. The body size is 76 x 120 x 21 mm (W x D x H).

Amulet JP has announced the CitiDisk DV2-QR their new portable storage solution. The "CitiDisk DV2-QR" will be available on January 20th in Japan. Available in 40GB - 71,400 Yen, 60GB - 75,600 Yen, 80GB - 81,900 Yen, 100GB - 92,400 Yen models. Features include a 2.5inch HDD, ability to record directly from DV camera to HDD thanks to the adoption of IEEE 1394,( 80 mins recording), ability to playback contents from HDD on DV camera view finder and support for QuickTime, Microsoft DV AVI and Canopus AVI format.

Measures 78x137x25mm and weighs 250g. Works with Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 9.2, Mac OS X.

Taiwanese vendor PQI has announced the U230 a new USB flash memory drive - Features include USB 1.1 support, sizes ranging from 16MB to 256MB, write-protection switch, works with most operating systems and features a beetle type design.
