Sony - RHMD4G

Sony has announced a new one-inch Microdrive available in 4GB and 2GB sizes. The 4GB "RHMD4G" - 279 dollars & the 2GB "RHMD2G" - 179 dollars.

So now you can take more pictures and not have to worry about storage for a few more mintues. When I see stuff like this I wonder why the Treo 650 for example could not have 2 built in 4GB hard drives. I mean these things are small enough to fit into the treo. Both cards are compatible to the Compact Flash+ Type II Standard. With a PC adapter and the Microdrive can also be used in devices that have a PC card type II slot (Windows Me and 2000 or XP are required for use with PC).

Hp to support blu-ray

Hewlett-Packard has announced plans to support the blu-ray disc format come the end of 2005 on their PCs and notebooks. One Blu-ray disc could hold just about everything for a 50GB hard drive - (2 layer blu-ray disc) the single layer blu-ray disc can store about 23GB - Could this be the end of Portable Hard drives - just think why carry around a hard drive when you can have everything on one disc ? ah but then again the disc requires a blu-ray supported computer so you might end up having to lug around with you Hp computer until the format goes universal, anyway still good blu-ray news
