Armari PC Media Centers

Armari has a new PC Media center server designed to be hidden under your bed (assumption) forgive me for being under the impression that if I am going to have a media center on display in my living room that is should be at least display worthy, but that is just my jaded opinion, I like sleek.

AMD's Personal Internet Communicator

Advanced Micro Devices has unveiled the low cost Personal Internet Communicator (PIC). We are talking low cost as in $185 & $245 with a 15 inch monitor, so by 2015 if AMD has its way 50% of the world will have access to Jenna Jameson in addition to other internet things. Granted by 2015 you will probably be wearing a computer implanted in your brain, it is still good to see AMD trying to help out.

The PC features a 366MHz AMD Geode x86, 128MB RAM, 10GB drive, USB, 56k modem, and Windows CE with XP-extensions (for XP app compatibility)

Initially, the PC will be sold in India, Russia, China, Mexico and Brazil.

AQUABOX

Water cooling for PCs has been done a thousand times before, (exaggeration), none have managed however in my little head to match the function with beauty, until the Aquabox a new water cooler by Korean Aquapack Corp. The RESERATOR1 did come close but it was circular, the Aquabox has many of the fanless water cooler traits but it is prettier because of it's square body. Dreamsys KLA2285

DREAMSYS has announced a new cube type personal computer called the DREAMSYS KLA2285 with AV function. The AV functions allow the KLA2285 to be used for TV viewing/video recording, DVD playback and radio listening etc.. You can playback/fast forward/rewind all from the front panel. Other features include ,120 GB HDD, tv/fm tuner (NTSC correspondence) with PCI connection, mpeg-2 encoding with appropiate software, intel 915G chip, 256MB RAM, runs on Celeron D 335 , speep 2.80GHz ( "silent mode" (1.56GHz), "normal mode" (2.80GHz), "turbo mode" (2.96GHz)- you can select different modes from front panel. The Dreamsys KLA2285 has a "7-in-1 card reader" which supports (the Compact Flash/ micro drive /SD memory card /MMC/ memory stick (PRO)/smart media correspondence).
