The VPC-1000 Multimedia Hub by Asour can be described as a DVD/CD/MP3/FM-Receiver that fits into a drive bay. The VPC-1000 integrates audio/video entertainment as "home appliance computer." You insert the unit into a standard 5.25" drive bay of the regular desktop PC.

Handtops is reporting that Sony is dropping the recently released U50/U70 from it's lineup. Released June/July this year the U50/U70 portable notebook would run you about $2000 , This cut by Sony has many speculating if this move is because of slow sales or maybe an upcoming model release. I am going with the bad sales speculation.

Gateway Inc. has unveiled an imac G5 clone all-in-one desktop computer that includes Intel's 915G chip set and integrated graphics technology
The Profile 5.5 features a high-bandwidth serial ATA hard drive and up to 2GB of memory, 2.8GHz Pentium 4 processor, 1MB cache,integrated Ethernet support, optional 802.11g wireless capabilities and Client Manager 8.1 management software.

I kid you the specs are not that bad but looking at the size of this thing, I would expect a little more speed at least. Games system specialist Alienware has hot-rodded one of its desktop PCs with a homegrown version of Intel's Pentium 4 processor that runs at 4GHz. The new Area-51 ALX, introduced on Friday, uses overclocking, or the practice of pushing a processor past its factory speed setting, to elevate a standard Intel Pentium 4 chip to 4GHz.
