Samsung has announced 2 new wide screens for your PC, a 19" called CX915BW and a 20" called CX203BW. With the arrival of Windows Vista based on the photos, Samsung recommends a wide screen for your HD needs reports Ubergizmo. Prices will range from 350 to 450 EUR for these screens.

SAMSUNG Electronics NAND Flash-based Solid State Disk Q30

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., will release the world's first PC embedded with a 32-Gigabyte (GB) NAND flash-based solid state disk (SSD).

The Samsung Q30, a 12.1-inch screen notebook PC, will be available in the Korean market from early June.

The SSD-enabled PC is designed for optimal portability and resolve many of the traditional challenges of mobile computers. Features include the 1.2GHz Celeron M Q30 platform, 32GB of NAND reads 300 percent faster (53MB/s) and write 150 percent quicker (28MB/s) than normal hard drives while offering better protection against shock, 25-50% faster boots and sleep recovery times, longer battery life and reduced weight.

Microsoft, Lenovo launch 'pay as you go' computer

Microsoft Corp. and Chinese-based computer maker Lenovo said Monday they will launch market trials for pay-as-you-go purchases of computers in China and India.

According to PhysOrg, consumers will be able to purchase a Lenovo PC for about half its retail price and pay off the balance over time by purchasing pre-paid cards from Lenovo, the two companies said in a joint statement.

No word on what happens if you don't buy a card one week.

Sony VAIO AR notebook to include a Blu-ray capable disc drive

Sony on Tuesday unveiled the first VAIO notebook to include a Blu-ray capable disc drive. The VAIO AR with 17-inch widescreen display with Blu-ray will retail for around $3,500 USD.

The Sony VAIO AR sports a 1920x1200 pixel screen that can display movies in full 1080p HD resolution, includes HDMI connection for outputting the Blu-ray content directly to a high-definition television, Intel Centrino Duo chipset, built-in TV tuner, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 graphics card with 256MB of video ram, and integrated camera.
