Nokia has announced the Gold edition of their highend 8800 Sirocco. The 18 carat gold plated handset offers a 208x208 pixel display, 2 megapixel camera, 128Mb of memory, Bluetooth, an MP3 and FM radio. The screen is scratch-resistant and the sliding function.

Mobile handset firm Nokia Corp. will work Samsung Electronics Co. to boost open standards in mobile television, based on its DVB-H technology reports Reuters.
Nokia said in a statement the two handset makers wanted to encourage greater adoption of broadcast mobile TV services. Nokia said it and Samsung plan to make their DVB-H mobiles work with the same standards as the Nokia network services system.

Nokia on Monday unveiled five new mobile handsets, including a 3G camera phone and 2 CDMA phones, that should hit retail shelves this year.
Nokia said the 3G phone, the 6151, comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera and is expected to retail in the July-September quarter for 240 euros ($303), excluding subsidies and taxes, making it Nokia's cheapest 3G model.
The CDMA phones, the 6275 and 2875 models, come with 2-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras respectively and should reach stores in the fourth quarter.
