Tattoo your Gadgets

Looking to add a little edge to your gadgets, or hide a big scratch - a tech tatt could be the answer.

techtatts.jpg

Tech Tatts are solid color vinyl cutouts, which can be used even on curved surfaces. You stick the Tech Tatt on your gadget and voila, you are hip & bad . According to the makers Tech Tatts are easy to remove - hopefully alot easier to remove than the iPod Tattoos.

The Journey to Wild Divine

Work can be extremely stressful on ones mental health, sometimes causing physical problems, here is a little gadget thingy to help you de-stress - I don't expect you to buy one but maybe you can convince your boss to spring for the $160 just in case it doesn't work, I am sure he or she would go for that as oppose to paying the power nap fees at Metronaps aka the power nap center on the 24th floor of the Empire State building.

The Journey to Wild Divine is "inner-active" Computer adventure that combines ancient breathing and meditation with biofeedback technology for total mind-body wellness. The biofeedback technology is what caught my attention, you wear three finger sensors that track your body's heart rate variability and skin conductance, you move through landscapes using the power of your thoughts, feelings, breath and awareness - apparently by the end you should be a new person at least for a second or two.

Update -- thanks for the lover letter Syven -- no this is not a filler or recommendation, ok yes maybe a filler. I actually think it is pretty interesting. I have taken Kundalini yoga maybe you should try it buddy - breathe - de-stress

eFilm Archival Gold "300-Year" CD-R

Delkin has developed the eFilm Archival Gold "300-Year" CD-R, it is guaranteed that you will never be able to confirm that 300 year fact unless you have some magic potion you have yet to share with the world of immorality.

I think a 100 year CD-R would have been just as good, think about it in 100 years CD-R will be extinct, you would probably have to pay millions to get a device to read the CD-R.

Delkin ran rigorous test on the CD-R using a special aging process to get that 300 year thing. - MORE

The Click Sneaks

Looking to make that highheel pumping down the runway sound as you walk around your office in your way comfortable feet relievers aka sneakers?

The ClickSneaks produce the sound high heels make on each step you take. Surface mount technology makes it possible to fit the necessary components in the sneakers: the original "click" sound is recorded on a voice chip, while a speaker, amplifier and a sensor acting as a "switch" on the sole of each foot gives the illusional of heels.

While I am all for comfort, just hearing a heel does not do it for me, maybe they could invent a hologram so when I look at the shoe it looks like a blahnik

Virtual retinal display

The virtual retinal display (VRD) by Human Interface Technology Laboratory is a heads on display with no screen. The device burns a video image onto your eyeball with a laser beam . Sounds painful right? It's harmless. The VRD will be geared towards to cellphone & hand held device users -- so you could possibly be browsing a website with full browser size from your handset.

Inside the engine, a tiny laser diode produces the beam while a microscopic mirror reflects it. Tiny actuators - -fabricated the same way microchips are manufactured -- steer the mirror, sweeping the beam across your retina at incredibly high speeds to produce what appears to be a solid image.

Secure your prada.

While I spent my weekend buried in laundry , EhomeUpgrade checked out the RoboNexus event in Santa Clara, California. They loved everything and want one of everything eventually.

whitebox.jpg

EhomeUpgrade reports on the White Box Robotics 912 multimedia, surveillance and security PC-Bot which can be used to protect you & your precious things or just to do stuff you computer or tv can do. The PC-Bot can be used as a Mobile surveillance bot( it gets loud if it sees an unfamiliar face, if programmed to, it can call the cops or simply email you) or as a Mobile media center bot(you can access the Internet, do word processing, and play games/music/video using a wireless keyboard/mouse through its built-in 5.5-inch screen.
I am not sure this would fix in my apartment , I would probably have to put in on a trim-spam diet but it would be nice to have.

Robot Service

Service that will never get angry at you. Guaranteed, even when you raise your voice, or try to steal something. The Korea Government plans to implement two kinds of network-based robots to work at the post office

giii.jpg

One Robot - the hunky, tower of strength will guard the post office and shoot a net to capture intruders at night. The other Robot who will probably be wearing heels will entertain the waiting customers by showing video clips, clips I suspect will be kid friendly no Jenna Movies to help past the time in those long lines.

- MORE via we-make-money-not-art

Three other robots are going to be tested in Korean households:

1 meter robot that provides healthcare programs
0.8 meters cleaning robot
0.5 meters robot reading/entertainment robot
