| Over the next 6 months BBC will roll out a trial, giving 20,000 viewers access to radio and TV programmes from the corporation's archives. The trial will make around 1,000 hours of content available to a closed group of 20,000 , with another 50 hours available to anyone to watch or listen to.
"The purposes of the trial... is to inform the BBC's future proposition for a public service on-demand archive service on bbc.co.uk, which will require approval from the BBC Trust , and to see where we should draw the line between a licence fee funded service and a commercial service," says Ashley Highfield, BBC director for Future Media and Technology.

The Clix is a nice player that offers very good audio and photo quality, long battery life, and a host of extras.
Read- Anything But iPod
The Clix predecessor, the U10, was a great little player, but iRiver was swinging for the fences charging $250 for a 1GB U10. But iRiver came back down to earth with the Clix, offering it at a price that matches its peers. If you are shopping for a high capacity flash player you must consider the iRiver Clix for its comfortable eye pleasing user interface and typical but well done feature set.
Read- Cnet
t $199.99, the 2GB Clix is much more competitively priced than its predecessor. Of course, we'd love to see a 4GB, 6GB, or even 8GB version in the near future. Still, if you're looking for a WMA device and can handle 2GB of storage, check out this MP3 player--we're enamored with it.
