During the P&I Show 2007 , Canon presented its lens exchangeable HDV camera 'XL H1' for the Korea market. Here are details on the 1080i HD supporting camera

The XL H1 HD camcorder offers a broad range of capabilities, emulating those of cameras that are significantly more expensive. They include the "Professional JackPack" which allows the user to send out an uncompressed HD signal (through the HD-SDI terminal), input and output SMPTE time code and receive a Genlock signal. Image capture through Genuine Canon optics, which rank among the very best in the world, interchangeable lenses and the "open architecture" of Canon's XL series of camcorders gives the XL H1 superb creative flexibility.

Kodak has announced a new EasyShare camera to replace the P850 at the top of its 'Pro' range.

The P712 features a 7.1MP resolution, 12x stabilized Schneider lens, high resolution electronic viewfinder and 2.5-inch screen. It is also claimed to have 'best-in-class' shutter lag and a new high speed focus system.

Pentax's K100D and K110D DSLRs

PENTAX Corporation has introduced the PENTAX K100D lens-interchangeable digital SLR camera. This new digital SLR camera combines 6.1 effective megapixels with PENTAX-original Shake Reduction (SR) system to deliver high-quality digital SLR photography and user-friendly operations to all levels of photographers.

Both cameras offer high precision 11-point wide frame AF, ISO sensitivity up to 3200, a large 2.5-inch screen and a top shutter speed of 1/4000 sec as well as being compatible with existing Pentax lenses. The K100D is also Pentax's first DSLR to feature a CCD-shift Shake Reduction system.
