"For American consumers to get into the Xbox 360 franchise, with games and extra contollers, they had to spend more than $700, not including an HD TV, which is really the only way to positively experience 360. We resolve at Nintendo to remain within reach for the vast majority of our consumers.

Sony's PSP has more buzz the Nintendo DS?

The DS is outselling PSP across the world. The DS is also generating huge buzz in the blogosphere. The fact is, we have a number of not only worldwide but even U.S.-centric million-unit selling games, and Sony doesn't.

We have games that are successfully expanding the audience for gaming for DS, and that's not true for Sony. The buzz for the DS is huge and growing, and the most anticipated handheld titles are on our platform, not on Sony's.

New Sony PSP games take advantage of the handheld's Wi-Fi abilities

According to the latest issue of Japanese Gaming Magazine, Famitsu, Sony Computer Entertainment is experimenting with some new features for the PSP with three of its upcoming titles. The games I.Q. Mania, XI Coliseum, and Bomberman: Bakufuu Sentai Bombermen, will include a number of unique goodies that take advantage of the handheld's Wi-Fi abilities reports PSP Scene

Up until now, PSP owners could only compete against each other over Wi-Fi when both parties owned a copy of the game. However, the three aforementioned games will include game sharing, which allows users to play multiplayer games with only one copy of the game. The only catch is those involved must own a copy of one of the three games. For example, if one gamer owns I.Q. Mania and another owns Bomberman, the two players can play a multiplayer game of I.Q. Mania or Bomberman together.
