"At first glance it looks like 'Ulimate Alliance', which many people got free when they shelled out hundreds for the Xbox 360, actually is worth your time. Unlike most Marvel games, where operative player mode isn't complicated and if anything is actually inviting. You begin trying to stop a flying aircraft for the superhuman organization 'The S.H.E.I.L.D." lead by Nick Fury and continue learning the full plot of the Masters of Evil and Dr. Doom. The best part about this game is that the true 'evil plan' of ring leader Dr. Doom isn't revealed until the very end; leaving you clueless about what optional missions you should choose or dismiss. At the start of the game you will have Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, and Wolverine on your team; as you continue to win missions you will have up to 18 characters to choose from.
One thing is certain, it may seem easy to beat the 'bosses' of each level at the beginning, but the game evolves as you do. It personally took me a week to beat the game and that was even when I had the capacity 4 players fighting with me at some points. However, you will encounter 'simulator discs' that you can retrieve, (the same you as would health or coins), which allows you to unlock characters and extra special features. Beware, those 'mini-missions' are just as tricky and difficult as the main objectives you will receive form 'The S.H.E.I.L.D'. Raven Software, who creates the game definitely has raised the bar from 'X-Men Legends 1 &2'.

"Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 need better system selling games as soon as possible," said Pidgeon.
In a chat with GamesIndustry.biz, Electronic Arts' boss Gerhard Florin says he is holding off judging the next generation consoles for 2 years. As Florin see it, in the first 2 yrs - all the consoles will do well, and though critics are suggesting the Playstation 3's price is hampering sales, EA's executive VP of international publishing doesn't believe the price tag will hold back sales in the first twelve months.
"Look at the price in two years' time, and then you can say whether it's too high," said Florin.
"Whether it's too high or not the consumer has to decide, but I don't think for the first year the price will be a problem which holds anything back," he added.
It's not just Sony's latest home console that EA is withholding judgement on. Florin believes that both Microsoft's and Nintendo's recent launches also have a niche to find and sales to exploit.
"I wouldn't make any judgments within the next two years," commented Florin.
"The first two years will clearly be an open race, everybody will do very well. I believe all three [consoles] are worth supporting in different ways."

According to technology site theinquirer, Sony's PS3 (PlayStation 3)'s hardware is slow and broken.
Cell memory access appears to be broken, RSX has half the triangle setup rate of the ATI chip in XBox360, and the true horror, Big Momma's House 2 and a Queen Latifa movie.
For some reason , I think theinquirer hates Sony. I have yet to see a favorable PS3 story on that site.

A Nintendo UK spokesperson has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that the Nintendo Wii console will go on sale in Europe at around the same price point as has been announced for the US and Japan.
Nintendo stated yesterday that the Wii will cost YEN 25,000 or less (GBP 120) and USD 250 or less (just under GBP 135) when it hits stores later this year. A spokesperson has now told GI.biz that "UK pricing will be in line with Japan and the US."
Nintendo's next-generation console, the Wii, will retail in the US for $250 or less, and no more than 25,000 Yen in Japan reports reghardware. It also expects to have shipped more than 6m of the machines by March 2007, the company said today.
Nintendo made the announcement in Osaka this morning after reporting a 12.5 per cent rise in full-year net profits
According to reghardware UK, British gamers may only be offered the 60GB version of Sony's PlayStation 3, a senior company official has suggested.
In an interview with UK games industry weekly MCV, Sony Computer Entertainment's UK operation, Ray Maguire said: "The lower-end, 20GB version of [the] PlayStation 3 has no Wi-Fi, no HDMI and none of the other slots in it, so it's really a question of where we would position it. It's more likely that we will only launch the 60GB version."
"We have time to watch the yen and be flexible, but that 60GB version looks like £425 in the UK at the moment," Macguire told MCV. "High trade margins in the UK are likely to see it come in with that kind of street price, though it's ultimately up to retailers."

Some of this hardware was cased in Nintendo GameCube housing," the company explained.

Sony's PlayStation 3 video-game machine will go on sale in Japan Nov. 11, and on Nov. 17 in North America and Europe, the company said
The PlayStation 3 console _ an upgrade of the hit PlayStation 2 _ will sell for 59,800 yen (US$536; euro421) in Japan for the model with a 20-gigabyte hard disk drive, Sony Corp.'s video game unit said in a statement.

At E3 last week, Microsoft discussed its plans to launch a HD-DVD component for the Xbox 360 later this year, but did not reveal any further information regarding the pricing of the unit.
The Xbox 360 retails at GBP 279 in the UK, with the Core System version selling for GBP 209, while the 60GB model of the PlayStation 3 is expected to cost between GBP 399 and GBP 419 when it arrives in late November.
Microsoft's alleged comments to UK retailers seem to suggest that the HD-DVD peripheral, which allows playback of high definition movies using Toshiba's next-generation DVD standard, will be priced below GBP 130, making an Xbox 360 and HD-DVD player bundle into a potentially attractive option at Christmas.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony slammed rumours that the 20GB PS3 will not be compatible with wireless controllers, and that consumers will not have the option to upgrade the hard drive.

In an interview posted on Japanese site Watch Impress, Tetsuhiko Yatsuda of Sony Computer Entrainment Asia, reveals that PS3 games may be available for download through Sony's Playstation Hub online service.
The logic is that t it would actually be cheaper to "download" the games instead of buying it directly from a retailer, in addition the service allows more control to combat the widespread pirating of Playstation games in certain regions of Asia.
In addition to touting plans to ship over 100 million PlayStation 3 (PS3) game consoles, Tetsuhiko Yasuda, Sony Computer Entertainment Asia’s corporate executive managing director and senior vice president of Asia said Sony may work with Microsoft in the future.
Sony has not finalized the specific time frame for the PS3 launch, as well as pricing, he said. The company aims to launch the PS3 at the same time throughout Asia. However, not all the regions in the global market will see the same launch day, as the Internet infrastructures differ in each individual market, Yasuda said.
Sony does not regard Xbox as a competitor. Rather, the company may even consider working with Microsoft to develop games together, Yasuda noted.

A panoramic view is ‘an unbroken view of an entire surrounding area’. Often, this means one has to turn around 360 degrees, to receive this unbroken view. As we translate this to an image captured in print, the concept of ic360 is the solution. Based on an ergonomic cylindrical form, the ic360 is a camera that allows the user to hold the camera with one hand, without need for aim or balance, and take an all-round picture. An angle indicator provides a gauge on the direction of the rotating head and is also an additional detail to provide the camera with a stronger and steadier feel while in operation. A built-in inclinometer indicates the horizontality of position prior to execution. The ic360 is designed with much emphasis on the user interface, with the main operating function designed as a touch sensor, thereby maintaining a flushed surface on the exterior. ic360 is an innovation that captures all that meets the eye, and more.

Nintendo Co. announced new wireless features for its DS portable video game player Thursday, including a free service that will let consumers beam game demos and other content directly to the device reports AP
Beginning in late March, the company plans to deploy electronic kiosks at thousands of U.S. retailers including Best Buy Co. Inc. and GameStop Corp.
Owners of the dual-screen DS who go near the kiosks will automatically receive a notice on their devices offering game demos, movie trailers and other content for temporary download. The information will be erased from the DS once it's turned off.
The service uses the DS's local-area wireless networking capabilities, which until now had been used just to facilitate head-to-head play by gamers near each other.
Nintendo also said it was adding voice chat to the sci-fi action game "Metroid Prime: Hunters," available March 20. Players who join up for multiplayer battles over Nintendo's wireless Internet service will be able to talk to each other through the system's built-in microphone before and after games, but not during, said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America Inc.'s executive vice president of sales and marketing.
LA sues over sex scenes in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," game
The city of Los Angeles has sued Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. for selling pornographic video games to children.
Los Angeles City Attorney Rockard Delgadillo, in the suit filed on Thursday, accused the game publisher of failing to disclose the pornographic content in its best-selling game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," .to get the game onto shelves of major retailers that do not carry games rated "Adults Only 18+."
Delgadillo said the company further deceived consumers by first claiming that hackers had modified the original version of the games, then announcing a week later that the sex scenes were written into the original game code.
