QuickCam Fusion webcam

Logitech has announced the QuickCam Fusion, a new sleek webcam. Features include a 1.3 megapixel sensor, Logitech RightLight to improve image quality, Logitech Rightsound to enhance audio performance and an integrated microphone.

The Logitech QuickCam Fusion webcam also features an ultra-wide field of view lens, which provides 78 degrees of visibility. The Logitech QuickCam Fusion webcam can capture still images at resolutions of up to 1.3 megapixels without software enhancement, or up to 4 megapixels with software enhancement. This is also Logitech's first webcam certified to support the faster data rates of Hi-Speed USB.

With an integrated microphone, a bundled stereo headset and Logitech RightSound technology, the QuickCam Fusion webcam provides people with flexibility in how they conduct video calls, while maximizing audio performance.

The Logitech QuickCam Fusion webcam has a suggested retail price of $99.99 in the U.S. It will be available at retailers and online beginning this month in both the U.S. and Europe.

Casio Exilim EX-Z500

In addition the 5.0 Megapixel black EX-Z10, Casio also announced another five million-pixel model to their Exilim range. The Exilim EX-Z500 houses a proprietary SUPER LIFE lithium-ion rechargeable battery that can take up to 500 shots on a single charge. It features a huge 2.7-inch LCD as well as Casio's BESTSHOT modes. The Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z500 will be available next month priced euro 279.99 and comes with a USB cradle for charging the battery, transferring your images or connecting it to a television.

Casio Exilim EX-Z10, EX-Z110, EX-Z120

Casio has announced the addition of three new cameras to its Exilim line, the 7.2 Megapixel EX-Z120, 6.0 Megapixel EX-Z110 and 5.0 Megapixel black EX-Z10.

The new cameras all feature the Exilim Engine with Anti Shake DSP, plus High Sensitivity modes. Other features include full manual control, 2-inch LCD, 10cm (Z120 only), 640 x 480-pixel movie mode and 6cm macro facility. The Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z110 will be available next month, while the Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z10 and EX-Z120 will be available in October.

GY-HD100 HDV video camera , BR-HD50 HDV recorder

JVC, Japan has announced the GY-HD100, a new HDV video camera and the BR-HD50, a new HDV recorder. The GY-HD100 supports 720pixels, has a 1.1MP 1/3" 3CCD sensor and offers recording in PAL and NTSC. It supports MiniDV , DV and external HDD to record either 3h of video on 40Gb or 6h on 80Gb. The 480/60p to 1080/60i compatible HD50 comes with a FireWire connection. The camera 6500 EUR and the recorder 3900 EUR.

Kodak EasyShare P880 and P850


Kodak has announced the introduction of the P series, which it hopes, will provide an alternative to the DSLRs. The EasyShare P880, ( flagship model) features a 24 mm wide angle lens, offers 8 megapixels, manual zoom ring and full manual control. The EasyShare P850, offers a stabilized 12x zoom Schneider-Kreuznach lens, 36-432mm. Both cameras can record RAW files. The EasyShare P880 wil be available beginning this September priced $599, while the EasyShare P850 is available at the beginning of this month, priced $499.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5

Sony has announced the Cyber-shot DSC-T5, a new ultra slim digital camera . Like other cameras in Sony's T Series, this new model combines Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optics with 5.1 megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5" Clear Photo LCD screen, 32 MB of internal memory for storage and easy transfer to an optional Memory Stick media card*, and increased battery life compared to previous T Series models, with up to 240 shots per charge.


The T5 has a vertical design: It features a lightweight, aluminum body available in four autumnal colors - red, champagne gold, silver and black - with a sliding matte silver lens cover.

The Cyber-shot T5 will be available in September for about $350 (red, black and champagne gold options will be available in October) on SonyStyle.com, at Sony Style retail stores (www.sonystyle.com/retail) and at authorized dealers nationwide.
