Olympus FE-100 and Fe-110

In addition to the FE-120, Olympus also announced the five Megapixel FE-110 and the four Megapixel FE-100 starter cameras'. Models feature movie mode, macro function and have a 1.5-inch LCD screen. The Olympus FE-100 is priced around $149.99 and will be available in September and the FE-110 is priced around $199.99 and will be available in October.

Olympus has announced the FE-120, a new six megapixel beginner camera. Features include 16 scene modes, a 1.8-inch LCD screen, 2 cm macro mode for super close ups and movie function. The Olympus FE-120 will be priced $249.99

Olympus has announced the Stylus 600 , a new six Megapixel camera with BrightCapture technology. The weatherproof Stylus 600 is available in range of colors - navy blue, ruby red or arctic silver. The Stylus 600 will be available from late September at a price around $299.99

Olympus has announced the SP-350 and SP-310 digital cammera. The near identical cameras offer 8.0 and 7.1 million pixels respectively, full manual control, 2.5-inch LCD (and viewfinder) plus RAW image capture. The SP-350 and SP-310 will be available in October priced $399.99 (SP-350) and $349.99

HP has announced the Photosmart E317, a new five Megapixel entry-level camera for j priced at $157 reports DPreview. Features include a sliding lens, a 1.5" LCD , USB connection, five subject modes, QVGA movies with sound and PictBridge capability. The Photosmart E317 will be available from September 1.

Canon has announced the Canon PowerShot S80, an eight megapixel compact camera with a wide range of manual controls. Other features include (2.5") wide viewing angle LCD monitor, a control wheel / 4-way controller, XGA video capture (15 fps), USB 2.0 High-speed and SD/MMC storage. The S80 should cost around $549

Canon EOS 5D, full-frame 12.8 megapixel

Canon has officially announced the EOS 5D, a new full-frame 12.8 Megapixel camera. The EOS 5D features a 12.8 Megapixel CMOS sensor, 3.0 fps continuous shooting, Spot metering, Custom settings mode, Picture Style parameters, 2.5" wide viewing angle LCD monitor, USB 2.0 High-speed, compatible with WFT-E1 wireless transmitter. The EOS 5D will be priced at $3299 (US)

Pentax has announced the new *ist DS2, a subtly updated *ist DS writes DPreview. The DS2 features a 2.5" 210,000 pixelsLCD monitor, coupled with a high-magnification glass pentaprism viewfinder.

Konica Minolta has announced the DiMAGE Z6, their latest Z series digital camera. The Z6 features a six megapixel CCD sensor, twelve times optical zoom lens and a two inch LCD monitor. The Z6 should be available in mid-September with a street price of around $399
