The Cybershot DSC-T33 is a new 5MP digital camera from Sony. Features include a 5.1 Mega Pixel CCD, 1.3 seconds Startup Time, 3x optical zoom, Digital zoom up to 12x in VGA, 2.5 inch LCD Screen, Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible, image capture resolution 2592 x 1944; 2592 x 1768; 2048 x 1536; 1280 x 960; 640 x 480 and MPEG video capture capabilities. The camera is available in Korea, Thailand and Taiwan and Hong Kong. Priced at around USD 463. Measures 103 x 60 x 17 mm and weights 160 g.

Sony Europe has announced the "DCR-PC55E" (pictured left) -- the worlds smallest MiniDV Camcorder at least today and the new DCR-DVD7E (pictured right) DVD Camcorder. The DCR-PC55E features include a 900,000 pixel CCD with a 10x optical zoom and 3.0 in. LCD screen. Sony also announced a lower model the DCR-PC53E.
Sony also announced the DCR-DVD7E DVD camcorder with a pretty different body design. The new design of the DVD Handycam DCR-DVD7E records to DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW media. The DCR-DVD7E also features a 10x optical zoom, a 2.5 in. LCD screen and weighs about 360 grams.
The DCR-PC55E will be available in Europe in February, and the DCR-DVD7E will be available in May.

Evergreen JP has announced the compact "DS3982" digital camera, the camera went on sale today in Japan for around 9,504 Yen. The 9 megapixel capable DS3982 features include a 1.5 liquid crystal TFT on the back, single focus lens, 16MB built-in memory, SD memory card slot for expansion (maximum 512MB), 300 0000 thousand pixels COMS image sensor (software processing allows for the camera to produce 9 MP), record resolution 3,500x2,625 (pixel density conversion) /2,048x1,536/1,600x1,200/1,024x768/640x480 pixel and records video with audio at 15fps -- 640x480 pixel resolution.
Measures 88x25x54mm and weighs 75 g.

Acer recently introduced three additions to their digital camera line up. The new cameras include the Acer CR-5130, the Acer CS-5530, and the Acer CR-6530. All three cameras come with an aluminium housing, 64MB SD card, ArcSoft/NTI photo software and all necessary cables.

The 5 mega-pixel Acer CR-5130 features include 1.8" CCD sensor, 3 x optical/4 x digital combined zoom lens, 1.5" LCD TFT, a rechargeable lithium battery, a maximum picture resolution of 2560 x 1920, and 64MB SD Card.
The ultra-slim 5 mega-pixel Acer CS-5530 features a 1/2.5" CCD sensor, 3 x optical/4 x digital combined zoom lens, 2.5" LCD TFT, a rechargeable lithium battery, maximum picture resolution of 2560 x 1920 and and 64MB SD Card.
The 6 Mega pixel Acer CR-6530(pictured left) features 1.8" CCD sensor, 3 x optical/4 x digital combined zoom lens, 2.5" LCD TFT, a rechargeable lithium battery, maximum picture resolution of 2816 x 2122 and and 64MB SD Card.

Panasonic JP has announced the availability of their new IPv6 Camera. The BB-HCM381 will be available January 11th 2005 in Japan. Price is speculated at 157,000 Yen. Features of the BB-HCM381 network camera includes a 21x optical zoom, wide angel pan tilt zoom feature, IPv6 support, ability to transmit sound and video of surroundings which you can monitor on your PC - video size 320x240 pixels - so while you may not see the burglar you can now hear when your pucci comes off the racks, the BB-HCM381 has a SD memory card slot for backup ( up to 1GB (not included).

Concord has announced the introduction of the 5 mega pixel CONCORD 5340Zz digital camera to the Japanese market. Set to go on sale December 22nd for around 24,600 Yen. Features of the CONCORD 5340Zz include 3x optical zoom, 16MB of built-in memory (expand with SD memory cards, TFT liquid crystal monitor, possible image resolutions 2,592x1,944/2,304x1,728/1,600x1,200/640x480 pixel and ability to record MPEG-4 video with audio at 320x240 pixel resolution (30fps).
USB 1.1 interface for PC connection, works with Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP, and Mac OS 9.0 - up. Measures 92x31.5x61.5mm and weighs 160 g.

Kurouto Shikou, JP, announced the release of the "KURO-SHOT," a USB memory-sized 0.35MP digital camera that supports audio and movies recording, web-camera function and can also be used as a 64MB USB memory device. Price is speculated at around 5,300 yen.
Audio is recorded in the WAV format, and movies in the STJ format which can be converted to the ASF format using included software.
USB 1.1 interface is USB 1.1, and works on Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, and XP.

Evergreen JP has announced the "Dny-ssp19" binoculars with digital camera. Available now in Japan for around 9,980 Yen.
Features of the Dny-ssp19 include 130 000 pixel CMOS image sensors, 64MB built-in memory (50 useable), largest produced image resolution 1,280x960 pixels, USB1.1 interface and VGA or QVGA video recording. Magnification ratio of lens on digital camera part and binoculars part is 8x. Focus range 30 m.

Sales for the SONY 1GB memory stick PRO "MSX-1GS" will start in Japan from 2005 January 21st. Expected price 24,000 Yen.
Aside from the color change from white to black of the 1GB "MSX-1G" announced back in January 2003 operation is now guaranteed at 25 - 85 degrees.
