Apple iPod Video : "One More Thing"

Posters from Apple's latest advertising campaign scored by ilounge show an iPod with a wide horizontal screen - Many expect a video version of the iPod to be announced later today.

Based on the Photo, the iPod Video looks to have a screen just a little bigger than then standard iPod Screen. Why Apple would launch the iPod Video with a screen going across the width of the iPod makes no sense.

Apple iPod Video : 10.12?

After debunking rumors of the Apple iPod Video being launched tommorrow (Oct 12), ThinkSecret now says the folks at Apple may unveil the iPod Video tommorrow.

While reliable evidence has corroborated reports of the development of a video iPod, information has pointed to a release date later than October. Recent notes suggest otherwise, however, and tomorrow may in fact see the release of a video iPod, while Mac updates may not be delivered until next week.

Sources say Apple will introduce 30GB and 60GB iPods with some sort of video playback ability. Think Secret sources still expect pricing to remain at $299 and $399, with each model offered in two colors.

BBC 6 Music : Video iPod set to debut in London next week

A report last week by the BBC 6 Music channel said that "Apple is set to unveil a new video iPod at the BBC Television Centre in London on October the 12th"

The report no longer available on the BBC 6 Music news site was probably taken out of context, even Reuters reported on the rumors of a Video iPod, so maybe the BBC forgot to include the rumor part.

Anyway , we will see in two days.

No Apple Video iPod Oct 12?

According to ThinkSecret , Apple Computer will introduce updated iPods come October 12 at the 'one more thing event'. According to sources spilling to TS the changes will be much less significant than the video capabilities some have expected.

Sources have said the iPods will sport smaller enclosures while the $399 iPod will very likely see a bump to 80GB. The $299 iPod may also see its storage capacity double from 20GB to 40GB. The color options are expected to mirror the iPod nano, white and black.

Err , to be honest the iPod craze is above my head, sure I love my 4GB black iPod Nano to bits but that is as far as my love for the iPod goes (in terms of storage). Who on this earth needs a 80GB iPod. A Video iPod with 80GB yes, a music iPod with 80GB no. But hey, I have two songs in my Nano so maybe someone else gets the 80GB thing.

video iPod next week?

Apple Computer has begun production of a new version of its iPod digital music player that will be capable of playing videos, AppleInsider has learned.

Sources believe the Video iPod could be introduced next week.The Video iPod reportedly features a smaller click-wheel to that of the iPod nano and large higher-resolution color display.
