Late last week rumours surfaced that a red iPod is on the way to tie in with U2 front man Bono's HIV fight . The rumor started following a post on Popbitch which claimed that U2 front man Bono was overheard “in Dublin's Michelin-starred Patrick Guilbaud restaurant discussing a new charity red Amex card and red iPod.” The red Amex card has been announced, which lends to the possibility of red iPod.

Apple’s new iBook to feature Front Row and iSight |

This spring Apple is expected to launch a new series of iBook consumer laptops built around a 13-inch widescreen display. The new models will sport the first major design revision to the iBook in several years and come bundled with both Front Row and the Apple Remote reports AppleInsider. Like Apple's new iMac Core Duo and MacBook Pro computers, the new iBooks will also feature a built-in iSight video cam and come bundled with the company's Photo Booth software.
Apple's Front Row software offers users a simple and powerful way to play their music, enjoy photo slideshows, and watch video such as DVDs, iMovies, and programming purchased from the company's iTunes Music Store.

MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central available on iTunes |

MTV Networks and Apple announced that programming from MTV, MTV2, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and The N will now be available for purchase and download on the iTunes Music Store.
The new content features shows such as Punk'd, South Park, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and Laguna Beach.
Nickelodeon's Dora is the first preschool programme available on iTunes, while Comedy Central's Stand-Up is iTunes' first stand-up comedy programme, and MTV's Laguna Beach and Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Gauntlet 2 are the first reality-based titles available on iTunes.
With the addition of these 14 shows from MTV Networks, iTunes now offers over 40 TV shows for $1.99 per episode for viewing on a computer or iPod.
iTunes 6 for Mac and Windows includes the iTunes Music Store and is available as a free download from http://www.apple.com/itunes.

Apple launches iTunes U in America |

Apple , has launched a new service that sees the company team up with universities and education establishments to offer lectures to its iTunes Music Store customers.
The new service called iTunes U (the U standing for University) is a free, hosted service for colleges and universities that provides easy access to educational content, including lectures and interviews 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A Massachusetts company named TVMyPod is selling iPods that come with movies and TV programs already loaded on them.
Customers choose any content currently available on a DVD and which iPod they want. TVMyPod then puts the content on the player and ships the original DVDs along with the iPod restored to its original packaging.
TVMyPod co-founder Vijay Raghavan said most people don't have the time or the technology to convert DVDs into the iPod's required format, which is what gave him and his business partner the idea to start the service reports Reuters

Apple Computer is under fire by underground folk, following the unveiling of their new advertisement for the Intel IMac.
Apple's new advertisement is almost identical to The Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" video says their label, Sub Pop.

After the drama surrounding , similarities between a recent Eminem advertisement & a Lugz commercial from years ago ... one would think the creative department at Apple would try to innovative as oppose to cloning.
