Opinion - There goes that warm fuzzy feeling
I love Apple products dearly, I have always enjoyed running into the Mac store to make a purchase, I basked in the idea of knowing I was 1 of that 3% who could afford who enjoyed Mac. Meeting art minded people in the Mac store was always so easy. Open blurb to Steve - How on earth will I be able to tell a real Mac enthusiast from a budget Mac shopper. Tell me how.
PS. I own more PCs than Macs, it just hurts to not be Mac Special.

Apple has announced the "Made for iPod" certification, a little badge that iPod accessory developers can display on their Apple-authorized iPod accessories to differentiate from unauthorized ones. According iPodLounge this seal is aimed to curb the growing problem of less than iPod worthy accessories that may harm the hardware, even when used as advertised and intended. Vendors believe Apple might have some other motives behind the Made for iPod seal -- may be equal parts financially driven, marketing driven, and consumer protection driven.

Creative Technology CEO Sim Wong Hoo who has publicly declared war on Apple has some fighting words for Apple Computer in response to the iPod Shuffle unveiled yesterday - here are some lovely quotes that will sure upset apple enthusiast
CEO Sim Wong Hoo on the Apple iPod Shuffle - We're expecting a good fight but they're coming out with something that's five generations older. It's our first generation MuVo One product feature, without display, just have a (shuffle feature). We had that - that's a four-year-old product. So I think the whole industry will just laugh at it, because the flash people - it's worse than the cheapest Chinese player. Even the cheap, cheap Chinese brand today has display and has FM. They don't have this kind of thing, and they expect to come out with a fight; I think it's a non-starter to begin with.

Creative expects to see a 45 percent on year jump in revenue for the three months ended in December to over US$ 360 million. Creative's share price jumped 3.3 percent on Wednesday to end at S$25.30.
