The futuristic iMac G5 in 17- and 20-inch widescreen models announced today
by Apple Computer will be available for shipping mid september with prices
starting at $1299. The G5 will come with 1.6 and 1.8GHz G5 processors and
is a mere two inches of depth " the worls smallest desktop". The
entire computer, including a G5-based logic board, slot-loading optical
drive, hard disk, speakers, and even the power supply — dwells inside
the display. Sweet . I love you apple . GIZMODO
notes that the iMac G5 doesn't share the "50% of the processor speed"
bus as the PowerMac G5s.

Apple Computer filed a patent on August 24, 2004, for an "ornamental
design for a display device with a moveable assembly . This image was included
in a patent application.
I like the idea of the dual-arm but that base is not pretty . I am sure
it would look much better in person, looking at my imac now the base looks
almost like a pyramid, so it might just work .

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and
other international safety authorities, Apple is voluntarily recalling certain
lithium ion rechargeable batteries that were sold worldwide from January
2004 through August 2004 for use with 15-inch PowerBook G4 (Aluminum) notebook
computers. These batteries were manufactured by LG Chem, Ltd. of South Korea.
