Samsung Electronics has announced the official launch of the Helix XM2go and Nexus digital player. Both will be launched on the 25th of April 2006 at the Time Warner Center reports MobileWhack.
The NEXUS Portable XM Satellite Radio would be the first portable XM Satellite Radio with MP3 playback support and also includes an integrated FM transmitter. It is also capable of book marking songs heard on the radio which can be later purchased online via Napster. The Helix XM2gois also a XM Satellite Radio which is capable of accessing up to 160 channels of commercial free music, news simultaneously while playing and storing audio files.

orbitcast has a photo of what purports to be an upcoming portable video device by XM Satellite Radio. XM demonstated this "wearable video device" to analysts recently. It has the ablity to receive live video signal in portable mode. In live mode, each channel uses 256kb of capacity using On2's video compression. Should the XM/WCS deal go through, XM will have the bandwidth capabilities to broadcast at least 20 video channels in live mode.

Samsung , has offically announced their first MP3 players with XM Satellite Radio cability. The Samsung neXus comes in two version - on can store up to 50 hours of content (1 Gig storage), the other can store up to 25 hours (512Mb). These two devices utilize XM's Connect & Play technology. Each Samsung neXus device comes with an XM Satellite Radio home docking kit, which allows the device to receive XM Satellite Radio in the home.
Digital content from XM can be stored when the Samsung neXus player is connected to a home or car dock. The stored content can be played anywhere for a totally portable listening experience. The Samsung neXus player enables you to store songs from your personal digital music collection, including digital music files (MP3 and WMA files) purchased from a variety of digital music services. With the Samsung neXus players, XM subscribers can “tag” the songs they hear on XM for purchase through the XM + Napster online service.
