The Steamy Sidekick 3 has made an appearance on the FCC site, revealing several new details on the device. The Sidekick 3 messaging device has a removable battery, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and a memory-card slot. In addition, it looks like the hardware has been reworked to include more rounded edges and a new navigation joystick reports Cnet Finally, it appears the quad-band GSM Sidekick 3 will again be available through T-Mobile, and it includes Bluetooth.

According to the rumor Mill the SideKick 3 could launch as soon as June 23rd 2006

Earlier this week, Gizmodo reported that the Sidekick II Officially Discontinued

Here are some Bits for a Sidekick 3 Blog

SENSITIVE NUB
"The nub was a little sensitive."

IT WILL HAVE VIDEO
"The device I used did not have video capabilities, but the ones that are going to be released will." (I believe it will play videos made with the camera as well as videos that are stored on the SD card, will confirm that when we can.)

NIGHT VISION?
"There is a new camera effect that I noticed. Its like a night-vision setting. Where the photo comes out in a green color and you can see things better in the dark. Its very smart considering that I've never seen a camera phone have that option."

LIGHT SPEED MODE FOR BROWSER?
Also, when I used the web browser it was very different. For instance, when you type a site in and press enter its says "initiating..." and then goes onto load a lot faster. You can now view the browser full screen. And when I say full screen, I mean side scrolling.

EMAIL
"Email has been updated too. You can have colored text and different fonts and such.

Sidekick III + Sidekick NG Details ?

This is could be as fake as err ... nothing comes to mind ... anyway someone sent this purported T-Mobile Sidekick roadmap, that shows plans for a music Sidekick III in April of next year and a second version with support for UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) in September.

Also seen on the roadmap is the "Sidekick NG" set to drop in June of 2007. The razr styled Sidekick NG will supposedly have support for music, video, and UMA writes Engadget.

I have never been a fan of the sidekick, mainly because everyone and their granny has one, but for a razr styled model, I would make an exception ... then again in 2007 I would probably have a cellphone that I project onto my arm.
