iDEN phones from Motorola

Motorola is preparing several new iDEN phones for launch over the coming months reports Phone Scoop.

* i870: New flagship clamshell phone with dual color displays, a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and video capture, Bluetooth (including OBEX), microSD (TransFlash) memory card slot, MP3 music player with external controls, WiDEN high-speed data, MOTOtalk off-network PTT, and a push-to-open auto-hinge.

* i450: Basic clamshell phone for Boost with specs and features similar to the current i560, including Push-To-Talk, speakerphone, and an external display.

* i415: Basic bar-style phone. Similar to the i285, but with a larger, better color display and a narrower profile.

LG P7200

LG P7200 is a new GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900Mhz) RAZR like handset from LG. The new phone features a 2.0 Megapixel camera with flash, a 262k TFT LCD internal display, 65k external display, Bluetooth, InfraRed, and music control keys on the front of the flip. According to unconfirmed reports the LG P7200 also includes 64Mb on board memory and a TransFlash/microSD card slot.

NEC has announced the L1, a thin clamshell phone for the Asia market. The new L1 is 2 mm smaller than the Motorola RAZR. The11.9 mm thick L1 features a thin black shell and loop antenna, It is a tri-band (900/1800/1900) GSM/GPRS handset with a 1.3 MP camera, 32 MB of memory, a 65k color 176x220 internal display and an external OLED display.

FCC approves Nokia N70

The FCC has approved the Nokia N70. The Nokia N70 Symbian based smart phone is a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900Mhz) and 3G UMTS compatible device, and features a 2.0 Megapixel camera on the back and a VGA unit on the front for video calling. The N70 also includes a 262,000 color 176x220 pixel display, Bluetooth, and compatibility with RS-MMC cards for memory expansion.

Nokia N-series phones could support iTunes in the future

Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia said on Thursday it had no agreement with Apple Computer Inc. for the iTunes music service to be included on its upcoming N91 multimedia phone reports Reuters.

Nokia made the statement after rumors of the N-series phones supporting iTunes, started making the rounds.

Nokia added that because of the design of the new N-series phones, software developers could readily produce programs to allow the gadgets to use services like iTunes.

"There is no commercial agreement between Nokia and Apple to integrate iTunes into the N-series devices," said Kari Tuutti, spokesman for Nokia's multimedia division.

Sony Ericsson model W800

The new Sony Ericsson model W800 will be available in late August 2005 at Sony Style stores in the USA and on-line. The Sony Ericsson W800 Walkman Phone features a 512 megabyte Memory Stick PRO Duo, compatible with MP3 and AAC music file formats, FM radio on the device, two-megapixel auto-focus camera with an active lens cover and digital still camera interface. The device's Bluetooth wireless technology enables wireless connectivity with a Bluetooth headset or car kit.

XBox 360 Price Leaked - 600 Swiss Francs = $477

OK. Looks like the Microsoft Xbox 360 will be up there with the rumored $499 price tag of the Sony PlayStation 3 (at least in Europe). According to a page written in Swiss at Microsoft.com, the Xbox 360 will be priced at 600 Francs , which works out to about $477 writes Gizmodo. Gizmodo speculates the Xbox 360 will be a little cheaper in the USA. That said, the new Xbox 360 price tag could definitely be as high as $400. Rumored prices for USA $299 and up.

So folks the Xbox 360 will be expensive down. What would be really cool (probably will never happen) if Sony priced the PlayStation 3 cheaper.
