LordPercy reviews the Nokia 7710 widescreen multimedia smartphone touted to keep you organized, entertained, and in the know-
Quote 'As a phone the GSM 900/1800/1900 7710 offers excellent RF performance, the calls we made were all crystal clear even in an area of low signal strength, the unit seems quite tenacious in holding onto calls other phones would easily have dropped. While we are on the subject of dropping, the Nokia 7710 is one rugged smartphone, the overall build quality is very good and we were only really concerned by what damage could be done to the screen if the phone was in a pocket near sharp objects, the supplied pouch is ok but not a real protective case." - Read More

UK Design firm PDD today confirmed to MobileMag.com that they will display the steamy 'Helix' concept phone at the 3GSM World Congress. According to Telecoms Manager of PDD, Ian Heseltine speaking to MobileMag, once the concept gets off the floor, the Helix handset could have a minimum of 20GB storage for MP3s and photos, an OLED display and a 5.0-megapixel camera when launched. Release hoped for end of 2006 or early 2007.
The Helix is a clamshell phone with a screen that rotates on a 180 degree vertical axis when open. When the clamshell is closed, the compact design shows the large viewing and control area for use as a camera or MP3 player. When used as a phone or for texting, the traditional clamshell hinge movement triggers a secondary swivel motion that brings the screen around to face the user.
