Sprint has introduced their first digital quad-band phone aimed at business traveling users; the Sprint PCS IP-A790 AKA the Samsung A790 phone that features both GSM and CDMA technology to enable users to roam in over 130 countries.

Nokia has announced the Nokia 6682 a new 1.3 megapixel tri-band GSM handset. MobileMag reports the Nokia 6682 smartphone for North America is identical to the 6681 announced last week for the European, Middle East and African markets. The handset features include LED flash, 262k color LCD screen for viewing photographs, playing music or watching up to one hour of your recorded videos. Photos can be printed with Nokia's XpressPrint solution or on any PictBridge compatible printer via USB. Memory is expandable via the hot-swappable reduced-size MMC card.

Motorola is set to unveil ROKR, the much talked about Apple iTunes phone. ROKR, will be Motorola's first phone that is fully compatible with Apple Computer Inc.'s iTunes software, which will be Motorola's default music player on handsets. Motorola's ROKR is aimed at tapping into the digital music market. Handset competitors Nokia and Sony Ericsson earlier this week announced their own deals with online music services Sony Connect and Loudeye reports Reuters.

Apple will restrict the number of songs that can be stored on the Motorola handsets, in a bid to protect its popular iPod portable music player business, the rivals will allow consumers to carry as much music as they can store on their phone's memory cards.

MobileTracker reports the Motorola E1060 announced on Monday does not have iTunes. A Motorola spokesperson speaking to MobileTracker in an email early Wednesday morning said that while iTunes was shown off with the E1060, it was a special case meant just for the demonstration. "E1060 was used to demonstrate iTunes client; however, it is not our iTunes product."
