ALK Technologies's "CoPilot Live HD" app has been submitted to the Apple App Store

"CoPilot Live HD" is turn-by-turn GPS application designed specifically for the 3G model of the iPad.

Features of the CoPilot Live HD include:

* Voice guided navigation
* Offline trip planning and route preview allows travelers to plan itineraries on the iPad
* Split screen driving view combines uncluttered 3D or 2D map displays with clear, non-distracting turn instructions
* Enter multiple stops for a single journey and calculate the most efficient route
* Detailed street-level maps of the U.S. and Canada are stored directly on the iPad
* Apps for additional regions will be launched as the iPad 3G becomes available worldwide

The app is expected to be available for the iPad 3G in early May with pricing the same as the CoPilot Live iPhone app which is $29.99 for unlimited use with no ongoing fees or subscriptions.
