The Samsung INNOV8 i8510 smartphone, a new eight-megapixel camera, has been approved for sale in North America by the FCC.

The current version of the handset features an 850/1900MHz radio, a 2.8-inch LCD with 320x240 resolution, camera with image stabilization as well as smile- and face-detection features, and geotag using A-GPS. Panoramic shooting is supported, along with 320x240 video at 120fps, or 640x480 video at 30fps. Users can edit the videos they capture on the phone itself.

The phone has 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 support, and can be had with either 8GB or 16GB of built-in memory, expandable via microSD.
