Philips has updated its home theater lineup with new Eco HDTVs and a Blu-ray movie player.

The Eco TV line features a ambient light sensor that automatically dims the brightness in darker scenes. The technology saves power by keeping the display in check and also improves visual quality.

The 7003 HDTVs come with Philips' Perfect Pixel HD image processing engine , 120Hz panels, four HDMI outputs. The TVs from this series have prices ranging from $1,699 to $2,699.

The 5003-series offer 60Hz panels. The 32-inch model costs you $799, while the 42-, 47-, and 52-inch models are priced at $1,799, $2,099 and $2,899 respectively.

Philips's BDP7200, the company's second-generation Blu-ray reader and its first to support Blu-ray Profile 1.1's picture-in-picture commentary feature. The 7200 includes a CEC-aware HDMI connection and 1080p upscaling for regular DVDs. Philips - $399 price
