Apple's iTunes rentals will last only 24 hours

Variety is reporting that Apple's iTunes rentals will last 24 hours before becoming unplayable. According to engadget there is some uncertainty about whether that includes multiple plays within the 24 hour window. Prices will start at $2 and go up to $5. Variety adds that Disney and Fox are the only studios confirmed so far for rentals, with Lionsgate, MGM and Paramount as candidates.
