The FCC has approved the Samsung SPH-M250, a new TV phone set for launch on the Sprint netwiork.

After careful comparison of the test photos to Samsung models, it appears to be a version of the B250, a TV phone Samsung launched in Korea. The B250 has a lid that rotates 90 degrees to watch video in landscape mode. It is possible that this phone is simply a video focused EV-DO handset that will present Sprint's streaming video in landscape. Sprint has already been running mobile TV trials using TDtv technology from IP Wireless in their 2.5 GHz spectrum.
