Urge needs work

On May 17 MTV launched its long-anticipated digital music subscription service, Urge. MTV is betting consumers will pay for music in much the same way they pay for their cable bill: monthly fees for all the content they want reports Reuters. The catch is that the music disappears when the subscription ends. MTV is using microsoft's new Windows Media Player 11, released in test form last week. Windows Media Player 11looks and works little like older versions of the company's music and video organizer -- starting with its front-and-center placement for Urge, a new music store from MTV writes WashingtonPost
