Nintendo DS Lite

Nintendo, Japan has unveiled an update to the Nintendo DS game system, called Nintendo DS Lite.

The new design is thinner, weighs less (from 275 grams to 218), has four levels of brightness control, as well as different button placement. The new design looks similar to the design of the company's next-generation console, code-named the Nintendo Revolution reports Revolution report. The redesigned handheld has the same glossy finish, and the visual aesthetic of the buttons could be compared to the Revolution's controller. Nintendo DS Lite will be released in Japan on March 2nd for ¥16,800 (about $145).
