Sony VAIO XL1 Digital Living System

Home Entertainment

The folks over at PCMag takes a look at Sony's Vaio XL1.

Designed to be the true Media Center in your home theater, the XL1 can replace your TiVo, CD changer, DVD player/changer, DVD recorder, and any older Media Center PC you have put in your rec room. The XL1 looks more like a piece of stereo equipment than a computer, and that is part of its appeal. It uses the latest Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and brings added convenience to those with extensive media libraries. This is the system for the true media collector: Movies and music won't be the same after you load them up in the XL1's changer.
