Epson Develops Photo Fine Chromarich LCD displays.

Epson claims to have created a new family of LCD displays that will boast higher resolution, better color rendering and consume less power at the same time. Epson is comparing against current mobile devices LCDs, of course. The displays measure 2.2, 2.8 and 4.5 inches and would be perfect for cellphones, digital cameras, PDAs and Portable Media Players.

2.2" (QVG) Low Temperature Polysilicon TFT, with a 108% coverage of the NTSC spectrum, 185ppi, 16.77 millions colors

2.8" (VGA) Low Temperature Polysilicon TFT, with a 100% coverage of the NTSC spectrum, 290ppi, 16.77 millions colors

4.5" (VGA) Amorphous Silicon TFT, with a 108% coverage of the NTSC spectrum, 180ppi, 260k colors
