Sharp has announced the M 4000 WideNote, a new their wide-screen notebook for the US market. The Sharp M 4000 features an Intel Pentium M Processor 740 (1.73 GHz with 2MB of Level 2 cache) , a 13.3-inch WXGA wide-screen LCD, 6 hours of battery life, a built-in optical drive (CD-RW/DVD-ROM), Secure Digital (SD) memory card support, a Type II PC Card slot (PCMCIA) and 2 USB 2.0 connections, as well as a V.92 modem and an Ethernet jack. Additionally, the M4000 is equipped with built in stereo speakers, a headphone jack, and a 15-pin external video VGA output jack writes Mobile Mag.
