The much talked about iTunes Music Phone has officially been announced, the new Motorola ROKR E1 handset combines the iPod music player with a cell telephone writes Reuters.com. After all the talk, I must admit I am a little disappointed, images of the Motorola ROKR E1 have been on Engadget.com for weeks now.

Features of the quad band GSM ROKR E1 phone include 100 song capacity, color screen with stereo speakers, a mobile headset, One button access to iTunes, Music fans can randomly autofill or manually fill the mobile phone with playlists of their favorite music, audiobooks and Podcasts from their iTunes library via a USB connection. Cingular is the exclusive carrier, they will start airing three TV commercials tomorrow, and the phone will be in stores this weekend writes Gizmodo.com

- U.K. - expected to be available first with Carphone Warehouse in mid-September and with O2, Orange, Virgin Mobile, BT Mobile and other top retailers by late September
