BrightonNet, Japan has announced the "iPod Stereo Modular," a new FM modulator for use with the iPod. The "iPod Stereo Modular is set for release on July 22nd - 12,800 yen.

The FM modulator converts the headphone output signal from a device and converts it to an FM signal, and is then connected to the car stereo's antenna port. When compared to using an FM transmitter that uses FM waves, having a wired signal drastically reduces noise, and allows for uninterrupted playback.
