Toshiba' s Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC)

Toshiba' s Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) has been recognized by the Guinness World Records for the world's smallest Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC). The Toshiba DMFC measures only 22 x 56 x 4.5 mm and 9.1 mm with a fuel tank.

The Toshiba DMFC is expected to power an MP3 player for as long as 20 hours on a single 2cc charge of concentrated methanol, this will provide 100 milliwatts of power output.
