Tucson-based SL-Interphase claims to have designed a way to boost the graphics and speed in a portable, tabletlike computer to that of a desktop PC, enabling it to render games quickly. The device called 'Rogue' features an ergonomically designed joystick, track ball, triggers, finger buttons and upgradeable components which apparently will be a hit with gaming folk. Other features include an 8.4-inch LCD screen (woo hoo), up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM and touch screen.

The Rogue will sell for about $1,500 (outrageous) OK it will also function as a tablet computer, one that a user can write into with a stylus.

The company needs $20 million to $25 million over multiple stages to get the device into production.
