Olympus, Japan has announced the 4 Megapixel "CAMEDIA X-550" compact digital camera aimed for the beginner. Set for release in Japan from the middle of March - 20,000 Yen. Features include 4 Megapixel 1/2.5" CCD, 50 - 320 ISO Sensitivity, record picture size 2,288x1,712/ 1,600x1,200/ 640x480 pixel, record type JPEG, video 320x240 pixel -- 30fps or 15fps, record type QuickTime (Motion JPEG), 3x optical zoom lens, 1.8" TFT liquid crystal monitor, built-in memory and xD picture card support. As for the connection with PC USB.

Measures 106x36x56mm and weighs 140g.
