o2 Germany is expected to show off their latest UMTS offer Surf@home at the CeBIT trade show in March. Surf@home is expected become an alternative to fixed-line Internet access and works with o2's UMTS network. Features include 384 Kbit/s support, includes a Surf@home box. The O2 Surf@home box contains a UMTS radio interface and a W-LAN interface to connect to the PC, Notebook etc. The usage is charged based on online time. i4u reports the UMTS home modem comes in handy for people who cannot get a DSL line into their home.
