Microsoft wants a piece of Google's pie with MSN search.

Yesterday Microsoft officially launched MSN search, their new search aimed at getting a piece of Google pie, actually its a bid to umm dethrone Google as the search engine King. The new MSN Search engine (www.msn.com) not only searches the web, but also looks for news, images, music and encyclopedia and dictionary results from Microsoft Encarta. For Windows users, the service can also search your desktop via optional software that you download. After just 20 months of development built from the ground up with homegrown technology. MSN Search, replaces technology licensed from Yahoo! It is available in 10 languages and includes tools to help Web surfers refine queries for more relevant results. Bill Gates has admitted to letting Google grab the Web-search lead. He hopes MSN search will change that.
