Victor, JP, JVC) has announced NX-DV5-S a new DVD/MD system. The NX-DV5-S will be available in Japan February 1st -- expected price 80,000 Yen. In addition to the NX-DV5-S, JVC also announced the active sub woofer "SP-DW1" (sold separately) set for launch in Japan on March 1st. for 19,000 Yen.


The NX-DV5-S is made up a center unit, four speakers and Active sub woofer. The center unit features support for DVD audio, DVD video, video CD, CD-DA and DVD-R/RW
(Only video format), CD-R/RW (CD-DA, video CD, Super video CD, MP3, WMA and JPEG format) , Playback of PAL system DVD disk possible, Dolby digital decoder, DTS, AAC and Dolby professional logic II, FM tuner, the Mini Disc end supports MDLP and 5x sound recording from CD.

The center unit measures 260x358x80mm and weighs approximately 3.8 kg.
