Oracle tells the future.

Yesterday Oracle CEO Lawrence J. Ellison and his team outlined Oracles' roadmap for integrating PeopleSoft into its software portfolio while keeping PeopleSoft's customers and his own customers happy. 90 per cent of PeopleSoft's engineering and development staff will stay on at Oracle which is aimed to help Oracle deliver on their commitment to all of our applications customers. Oracle will support PeopleSoft existing products until 2013. During last's night meeting Ellison introduced 'Project Fusion,' a strategic move towards bringing Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards product lines together using Java and HTML standards to create an integrated application suite set for release by 2007. John Wookey Oracle Applications Development senior vice president overseeing future joint developments outlined an Estimated release timeline

- PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 (2006)

- JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12 (2006)

- First Project Fusion components, specifically data hubs and transaction bases, (beginning in 2006)

- Initial "Project Fusion" applications available in 2007

- 'Project Fusion' applications suite delivery in 2008
