Victor Corporation (JVC) Japan has announced the "GR-D250," their latest addition in the "Baby Movie" DV camera series line. The GR-D250 is expected mid January for around 60,000 yen in Japan. Features include a 25x optical zoom lens (industry's first DV camera 25x optical zoom lens), F value of 1.8 ~ 3.2, and has a focal distance of 42 ~ 1050mm through 35mm conversion, 1/6 type 680,000 pixel CCD sensor (recording area of 340,000 pixels), 2.5" screen - 112,000 pixel Clear Bright LCD Monitor, LCD viewfinder, 0.16" at 113,000 pixels.

Measures 56 x 112 x 94mm and the weighs 510g. 1 hour and 25 minutes battery life when using the LCD monitor
