After days of twiddling my thumbs waiting for it's arrival the LaserPod finally arrived yesterday, like a kid with his first gift, I was on the floor scissors in hand cutting away at the box -- in no time, lights were off and I was laid out on my office floor enjoying my very own Laser show all compliments of the LaserPod. Touted as the modern-day equivalent of the seventies Lava Lamp the Laserpod uses a laser to create random light effects. In case you were wondering it is so much cooler than the Lava Lamp.

Packaging - The Laserpod is packaged in a very stylish, simple & attractive box - I will go the stretch and say if you have a fashionista as a friend he or she would appreciate the packaging, once all unwrapped you have the Aluminum Laserpod Projector Lamp Unit, Electroplated Tall Domed Diffuser, Electroplated Small Domed Diffuser, Crystal (set into base unit), Ridged Glass Refractor Lens, DC Adaptor, AA Alkaline Battery Compartment, Laserpod Book & Warnings & Instructions Leaflet. -
Setup -
Plugg in - Switch on - Tune out -- which is exactly what I did. The Laserpod can be used with the two diffuser domes(included) - can be interchanged to create subtle but fun effects. Now here is where the fun begins when the dome is removed the laser paints the ever changing effects onto any surface. I should now introduce my cat Kiko 25lbs and 7yrs old -- he moves for nothing or no one -- when he saw the little red lights running around, he jumped up and had his own little party which was fun in itself. The manufacturing quality of the Laserpod is great, good mechanics & the futuristic design only enhances the product. Using the power button you can go from using blue and red mode to just the red laser light mode -- the blue & red is where its at for me -- see my gallery
Party
One of the great things about living in New York is having friends who are always ready to party - when I thought about all the great things the Laserpod will do and the part Photographer Mario Testino played behind the Laserpod - I decided to invite a few of my "model" friends over for a show - who I knew would be up for anything with lights, and boy did they appreciate the show - while it is not recommended to look directly into the laser a few of them did and I think they can still see me. The general consensus from my friends is that the laserpod would probably spend most of its time in the bedroom working its magic - I even agreed -- music and a light show via the Laserpod - sure deal finisher. It was also suggested that it is an unbelievable experience watching the show while umm on something.
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the Laserpod sober -- right down to the white box - My cat did as well & so did my very "high" friends (high on life). Buy the Laserpod for $99 at Laserpodusa.
Thanks Liz - Thank you Laserpodusa.
