The Olympus m:robe music players have finally made it onto the Olympus USA website which sorta confirms that we will get the line here as reported by Gizmodo (speculated time January 2005). Announced back in October the m:robe series if marketed correctly, could easily get up there with the iPod (based on looks). Initially I was not very excited about the m:robe however after spending some time with my very battered iPod while waiting for verizon to do what they do best, I think a new player is due. The M:robe looks like a a serious contender

The MR-500i(top) features a 20 gigabyte hard drive able to hold about 5,000 songs -- and the MR-100 is equipped with a five gigabyte drive that can store around 1,200 songs — The 20 gigabyte player will be equipped with a 1.2 Megapixel Digital camera and can store up to 20,000 pictures that can be viewed on a 3.7-inch 640x480 liquid crystal display screen. -
