Rio Japan has announced a new 2.1ch wireless speaker system which operates on the 2.4HGz transmission band. The "Rio Live Air" will be available in Japan December 24 at the Rio estore for 39,800 Yen. The system designed to work with the Rio Carbon player is a stylish and simple system that could easily fit into a cluttered New York loft.

The system consist of stereo speakers, woofer with built-in digital amplifier & receiver and a transmitter. You connect the transmitter to your Rio Carbon player to fill your space with whatever sounds you have on the player. Features include 8m communication range, 30Hz - 20kHz playback frequency, USB connector which allows you to connect to your PC so you can play back contents of your PC on the speaker system & stereo input jack at the back of woofer

The speaker measures 45x177mm, woofer measures 100 (diameter) x103 (height millimeter) & the transmitter measures 98 x15 x29mm & weighs 50 grams. 8hr playback. (3hr charge)
